Somewhere along the line I got a reputation for being great at choosing hotels. Now my family comes straight to me every time they are going on a trip and asks me to choose the hotels. It's fun to go exploring travel sites but can be a little sad when you realise you aren't going on the holiday with family. I am pretty good at finding great deals on the big chains, but also on cool little local boutique hotels and bed and breakfasts. This blog has some of my tips for other people when they are booking hotels and accommodations.
Quality motels offer many attractions and benefits if you're travelling or going away on holiday. Whether your stay is only overnight or you're planning a holiday of longer duration, motel accommodation offers you the opportunity to relax and make the most of your time, especially when you take advantage of the many features and services available. Booking a motel is easy; just go online and fill out the form, or give them a call — the friendly motel staff will guide you through the entire booking process and answer any questions you may have.
You can make payment online or at the reception before check-in. There are flexible payment options, too; all types of credit cards are accepted, as well as EFTPOS. It's also worth noting that many motels offer special discounts, so check to see if any of them apply to you. These might include discounts for corporate bookings or other organizations such as NRMA, discounts for seniors and couples, Ambassador Card discounts, and many more. Ask about early check-in, which is usually available during non-peak periods, and if unavailable, make sure you keep a note of your check-in time to avoid arriving late. Also note your check-out time, so when it's time to leave you won't be caught short.
Your motel room will include many great features and perhaps even some added extras to ensure that your stay will be both comfortable and rewarding. No matter the season, you'll be able to enjoy your holiday in comfort with a reverse cycle air-conditioner and ceiling fan. There's an alarm clock for you to use if you need it, and you can listen to the radio or watch TV, including pay TV services such as Austar, for some good in-room entertainment. You'll find fresh linen and towels daily, and there's even a hairdryer and hair products to help you look good and feel great all day long.
You don't have to miss an important email or phone call during your stay; there's a direct dial phone available for your use, as well as free wireless broadband internet. The daily room service will ensure that your room is always kept clean and tidy. You'll have use of a refrigerator, microwave oven, toaster, and beverage making facilities so that you can make all your own meals or, if you prefer, why not make use of the motel's licensed restaurant and bar? Check out the motel's shared facilities and make the most of them — meetings rooms, outdoor seating, BBQ, pool, and a guest laundry. You won't have to worry about your car with security parking available. Everything's looked after, so there's nothing more for you to think about — except enjoying your stay.Share
